She appeared in numerous successful films in the 90s and 2000s, such as Charlie's Angels, Never Been Kissed, Poison Ivy, Boys on the Side, Mad Love, Batman Forever, Scream and Ever After. Barrymore and Adam Sandler starred in the films The Wedding Singer 50 First Dates Blended, The Wedding Singer 50 First Dates and Firestarter, Donnie Darko and Riding in Cars with Boys are some of her other films. She was also in her directorial debut film Whip It. Grey Gardens won her a Screen Actors Guild Award as and a Golden Globe Award. She is currently host of The Drew Barrymore Show, her talk show that is syndicated.
